My parents were in town this past weekend and braved the Seattle night life to catch some of my Saturday VJ gig at the See Sound. I was very proud of them for making the effort to venture up from Portland and stay out past their bedtime. I don't know when the last time they were in a "club", but I'm sure the dancing and fashions have changed a little bit. One can only imagine what will pass as "entertainment" when I am their age! Hopefully I will be as open minded as they are and take a chance to see what's out there. It was very nice to have them here and I think they now have a better understanding of what VJ-ing is and how I spend all of my time!

I've been doing some "experiments" this past week and every once in a while, I actually stumble across something
that isn't half bad. Here's an example (there's no audio - I was just messing around with some rendering tests):
Maybe I will create a works in progress page and call it "THE LAB" or something - kind of a glimpse behind the scenes (like I have time for that)...might be fun though.

August and new videos! So far I've been doing pretty well with the "post one a week" goal (it helps that the July 15th show with DJMB and DJ EVA is such a treasure-trove of content!)
July was a good month. Lots of good "news" during that time. Sometimes I wonder if I should keep two months worth of news visible at a time - as if anyone ever goes back and says "I wonder what VJ scobot was up to last month?" But, I'll just stick with this format for now - heck been doing it for almost two years now, so why stop now?
At some point I'll figure out how QT movies I made a year ago are longer, smaller and load faster than all the new ones I do now. It's driving me nuts! Uploading a 68mb file is insane - especially when the Windows Media version is only 8mb!!! Obviously my QT recipe has gotten all out of whack (but it's not like I haven't been rendering 20 versions trying to figure it out!) So until then, I apologize to all of you QT people out there (I love QT too!) any tips to get me back on track?
