08.25.05 Hey check out the Seattle Weekly article about the Opticlash event! I think you'll get kick out of it! 08.24.05 I have the pleasure of doing another stint at the See Sound Lounge this weekend, Saturday, August 27th. I'll start aroound 10:00pm and go till they close!
08.23.05 Well, I finally started to post some clips from the June 25th show at the See Sound Lounge. Hopefully I'll get some more up in the next few days. If not, you'll just have to make due with these! ;)
08.22.05 Well, the Opticlash: VJ Battle in Seattle, was quite an event! The best part, for me, was getting to meet all of the cool VJs in the local scene, see their rigs and watch their sets. It was great. I felt anyone of us was worthy of winning (glad I wasn’t a judge!). As it turned out, killingfrenzy took home the championship prize. He had a great final round and definitely showed the audience what VJ-ing is all about! Congratulations to him!
The fact I even performed was a victory for me. At 3:00am the night/morning of the event, I lost my entire set due to a software crash (of my usually reliable Arkaos VJ3.5). As you can imagine, I was devastated. I went to bed not having ANYTHING ready for the competition. I got up early with the intent to work on my set before the show (and at the venue while everyone was setting up). The funny thing is, around 10:00am, my girlfriend, Sarah, informed me there was a stray dog in our backyard chasing one of the neighbor’s cats! So we went out to break that up and the dog promptly BIT ME ON THE HAND!!!!! So I spent the rest of the day with a throbbing-bleeding hand while I rebuilt my entire set! Neat! Despite all of that, I did have my set ready, and I thought I did well. No hard feelings at all. But I slept all day the next day. 08.20.05 08.01.05 I will be competing this year at the Opticlash "VJ BATTLE IN SEATTLE" on August 20th, 2005. It's going to be a great event. There will be eight VJs competing, so it is an excellent opportunity to check out the scene and see what VJ-ing is all about.
I am working hard to get my content together so I don't get knocked out in the first round! lol.
