LIVE AT: CoCA Here is another clip from the TESLA event hosted by dorkbot-sea. I call this section "Atomic Egg Dream" because it seemed to beg for a title and well, that's what I came up with. See if it makes sense to you. You never know what the DJs are going to play, part of what makes “live improvised video mixing” the seat-of-your-pants experience that it is, so it’s always amazing to me when stuff actually works out! I thought this was an interesting section, as you can see my thought process at work (watch for the area where I manually adjust the speed of the clips). Sometimes I am too much of a slave to "the beat" when I mix, so I was glad to see that I could let that go a little and try to match the "feel" of the music. (Always good to keep growing as an artist, don't you know) Music mix by DjMb and Carlos da Silva (not sure who was doing what during this section – but they both kick ass so you can’t go wrong giving them both credit!) This was recorded directly to my Panasonic DMR-ES10 DVD recorder from my Laptop’s video feed and audio signal from the DJ mixer. |
